This collection contains eight autographs from 1878: poet and abolitionist John Greenleaf Whittier; Charles Sherwood Stratton, also known as General Tom Thumb; poet Oliver Wendell Holmes; President Rutherford B. Hayes and his wife Lucy; author Mark Twain; poet William Cullen Bryant; caricaturist Thomas Nast, whose signature includes a sketch of the artist; and poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

This collection is a "Mental and Portrait Album" kept by M. Palmer Carroll of Chestertown, Maryland. It asks different individuals to answer twenty-two questions. They are the same questions throughout the album. Each entry has a name and address, and occasionally a photograph of the individual. Questions include; "sweetest word in the world" and "the saddest", "character traits you admire", and "what is your motto?"

Middle Dutch Psalter

Scope and Contents Note This is a trigesimo-segundo sized Psalter, circa 1500, in Middle Dutch. The text includes a calendar, litany, and offices. It is believed that it is from the Utrecht region possibly from one of the convents devoted to St. Katherine. Some pages have been cut from the book; these were most likely the highly decorated scenes that separated the various sections of the text.
